Thanksgiving on Ice
In a nutshell, I've been at McMurdo Station since August 20th and am halfway through Summer season with the US Antarctic Program. Today is Thanksgiving day, an American holiday, but we are not celebrating today. We'll have a big feast with Turkey and all the fixins' on Saturday with the entire weekend off.
And now about the yarn. Sara organized it. It's all her fault. We all went in together and are gleefully celebrating the arrival of a big order of yarn. We went to Sara's room last night and shared our new stash additions with each other. I'm into Noro this month.
Mail is always good on the 7th continent. Even an envelope with a card is good. All hail mail. But yarn in the mail is just so much more than exciting. You know what I'm talkin' about.
