Donut of Misery
Today I started my second blanket strip and the second alpaca sock. I also went to High Fashion Fabrics, an excellent store with oodles of stuff for sewing folks. I bought snaps for the travel knit bag I plan to create. I also picked up the 300 count cotton sheeting I wanted for making travel sleep sacks for next year's trip. We're planning on seeing Thailand and a few other places. Only about six weeks left until I leave for the Ice. Gulp. The peeps down there at McMurdo and the South Pole are probably checking their "donuts of misery" these days.....stats that tell them how much time they have left until Winfly (winter fly-in). I think it's time for me to start counting down too....crikey!
